Well, I went to the festival today. It was a total dissapointment....
Reason No. 1
I waited almost an hour at the corner of 30th and 8 ave along with 20 other people... the lady with nycf sign never showed up, the shuttle was no where to be seen... the number they provided on the e-ticket was incorrect, and the correct number is always busy.... the cab ride was not what the website claimed it ended up to be around $ 5 per person.
No. 2
The entire event just seem very very unorganized. I didn't mind the $20 dollar ticket, but the food was expansive and cold, to fill one's hungry stomach, be prepare to spend anywhere from 20-30 dollars each person.
No. 3
The lounge was not cleaned and the space was limited.
No. 4
They only sale scrips (paper dollars) in the entrance, so you have to go back everytime you run out of the scrip.
No. 5
The food shows was disastrous, the stages were noisy, the demostration was hard to see, I wish they would hand out receipes, it was impossible to hear the chefs...
No. 6
Goody Bag upon exit? what goody bag? I even asked the information desk woman and she gave me a very puzzled look.
over all, I felt horrible dragging my friends to such an organize, messy event...
I hope this email could serve as a little warning for people who are interested in going tomorrow....
a dissapointed food lover....
