Astor has finally moved... just down the block, to a huge new space called the Astor Center (399 Lafayette at 4th Street).

"Sip on Dom Perignon 1996 as you browse the store..."
Sounds great! But if it's as packed as the Trader Joe's opening, you might want to think about passing up the Dom Perignon offer and stopping by during the week for some of their other great free tastings and events:
• Today, March 22nd, 7 P.M. - 9 P.M.
Legendary Barolo Producer Mauro Mascarello pours his 2001 vintage and Astor offers 10% 0ff all Barolos.

'96 Dom Perignon is quite a way to celebrate the new store. 1996 is a vintage year, in Champagne this only happens in the very best years, it is also a hard to get and incredibly expensive wine. Could be worth the wait just to get a free taste and see what all the fuss is about.
Personally, I've tried this exact bottling and I think it's worth it.
