Trader Joe's Pantry: Goat Milk Brie

2008_02_22-TraderCheese.jpg

We have really been enjoying this Goat Milk Brie from Trader Joe's. It's tangy, creamy, and - wait for it - only $2.49! Is such a cheap Brie worth it? We think so...

At only $2.49 for 4.4 ounces, this is a steal of a wheel. We love it for spreading on crackers and toast.

The taste is tangy, intensely milk, and slightly sweet. It may not be the highest-end Brie we've ever bought, but this is a good buy for every day. We have a spectacular appetizer we like to make with this cheese - check back this weekend for the recipe!

I LOVE this cheese, i've been eating it for a few years, particularly because it's so creamy and so low cal/low fat.

TJ's also has a yummy goat's milk gouda that we've been eaing a lot of lately.

I'm a TJ's employee and order the cheese for one of our large stores, and it makes me ridiculously happy to see this cheese featured! I'm in an area where people aren't very adventurous, and it's fun to watch people light up when they try this or the Polder Blanc goat gouda.

I'll be referencing this article in the future!
