In no particular order, here's a collection of some notable cheese sites:

• CurdNerds- Jamie Forrest's Blog, who also writes Serious Cheese for Serious Eats. Lots of information on cheese events (normally in New York), cheese trends, and general cheese info, like this Raw Milk Cheese 101 posting that he wrote for Serious Eats.

• The Cheese Snob's slogan, "Promoting Good Cheese and Having Fun Doing it" pretty much sums up the content here. Wendy Levy, the site's creator, has been in the cheese business for over a decade, and is now working on opening Curds and Whey, a cheese and tea shop in New Jersey. She operates not only a blog for The Cheese Snob, but also a new blog for her soon-to-be new shop, The Roquefort Files.

• Cheese By Hand is the website started by Sasha Davies and Michael Claypool, after their cross-country trip visiting and interviewing cheesemakers. There's great, detailed information on specific farms, including some audio interviews and lots of photos.

• Murray's Cheese has been expanding their website over the past couple of years to include lots of information for those of us unlucky enough to actually go to the store for a visit. Now they have a nice collection of videos in their video library, with cheesemaker interviews and information on how to construct cheese plates, and a pretty wonderful collection of entries on cheese by their affineur, in the Affineur's Corner section of the site. And check out their Virtual Cheesemonger, too.

• Saxelby Cheesemongers was started by Anne Saxelby three years ago. The Saxelby Almanac is her blog, which dons information on new American cheeses and keeps pretty up to date on cheese trends and current events. The website also has links to their Flickr photostream and an interactive map of the cheesemakers they support.

• It's Not You It's Brie is a new cheese blog, to be filled with cheese recipes (like Chevre Asparagus Barley Salad and musings. So far, it looks pretty promising.

• Cheese Underground has been around for three years and is written by Jeanne Carpenter out of Madison, Wisconsin. She writes on everything from the joys of amazing butter to grilled cheese.

Of course, these are just a few of the many out there. Anyone else have a must-see cheese site?
