Let's talk lunch again - we found so many good ideas for brown-bagging it last time. Here's our lunch - leftover dill and yogurt chicken salad - even better the next day - salted cucumber slices, and a bag of cherries for dessert.
What's in your lunch bag today? Any good tips for avoiding the restaurant rush and packing a quick and easy lunch instead?

This probably wouldn't excite most people, but into my bag I threw: a big, just-picked tomato, small can of Italian tuna, two just-picked Persian pickles (little, sweet cucumbers), a few kalamata olives and a knife. Oh, and lots of paper towels to deal with the juice. That's all I need!

I've been ill lately, so I've just been sticking to soups out of the cafe at work. Tomato florentine today.

I didn't remember to bring anything for lunch, so I got stuck with Thai cart noodles from the cart across the street, but my boyfriend's bringing me leftover spaghetti and homemade sauce for dinner at my other job later. He makes the sauce himself, and it's awesome, meat, tomatos chunks, and huge amounts of garlic!

Asian green bean salad from my CSA and brown rice, plus some bread and brie that I bought on an impulse and left in the fridge at work for snacking. Then my girlfriend brought mock pork buns from the Vegetarian Dumpling House to my office for dinner!

I made a fruit salad. It's a green apple, a white nectarine, some purple grapes (with seeds), some feta, walnuts, and raspberry-walnut vinagrette salad dressing on it. I make this quite a bit and it tastes even better if you let it sit for a hour or longer before eating it.
