It's painful to be 94.4% of the way through a job and have to stop. We almost made it yesterday, but on our eighteenth shot of the week, had to call it quits.
Look at that pesky little piece of chocolate cake; doesn't it look like it's asking for trouble? Well, it wouldn't cooperate and it sent us all home with our hands up in the air, deciding to come in for one more morning.
On the other hand, I'm thrilled with the finished photos and can't believe how long we have to wait to see them all bound up pretty in a bookstore.
(Note: the photo you see to the left was not taken by the photographer - it was snapped by me on the little mini Canon as I ran by. This man, on the other hand, is a genius and it has been an honor to have him on my team.)
Wow, after looking at John Kelly's site I'm amazed at his work. You're lucky to have snagged him for the book. Can't wait to see it.

Question, since you mentioned it's going to take awhile before the book is published, which will come first, the baby or the book?

Holly - the book is due 18 days before the baby. It will be published a year later, around September '07. The publishing world is a lot slower than the human reproduction world!
