Next week I'm playing Art Director as the photos for my book are shot in Hollywood. Well, North Hollywood, which is in the valley and where a lot of the real Tinseltown actually works. (See it there? It's the big flat part behind the sign.)
We'll be shooting all week, while I continue to test recipes and point my finger at which props I like and which slice of cake looks best through the viewfinder.
That means posting might be a little lighter than usual next week, although not by much. Don't worry; I'll be in touch, and sending dispatches from the front line. Today, as I fly from New York, posting will also be light.

Good for you! Look forward to the book, and good luck.
Wow, have a good time! Eat some Thai food! See, just under that sign and down the hill a little bit, lies the veritable treasure trove of Thai food in America. Thai Town - always good for a couple pounds.
Hey.. it's my neighbhorhood! And hey, nothing's wrong with flat.
Seriously, on the weekend for Thai, go to the temple. Top notch stuff for a Saturday lunch.
You are all so sweet with the Thai food recommendations! I am a born and bred North Hollywooder, so my compass is defnitely pre-set for some good eats. Right now though it's all about a bowl of cereal and the air-conditioning at mom's house - it's HOT here!
