Well, the results of our second annual Best Lick! Ice Cream Contest are in, and the winners were the runaway favorites. There was no contest for the first place prize, and the runners up were clear winners as well.
So, without further ado, a drumroll please....

First Place Winner
The winner this year is:
• Brett's Chocolate Gelato with Salted Caramel Pecans
Congratulations to ice cream chef Brett. He'll receive a $200 Gift Certificate to Sur La Table, a set of Fran's Dessert Sauces, and an iSi Aluminum Cream Whipper.
Runners-Up
• Jason's Creamy Espresso Crunch
• Amanda's Mango Lassi Frozen Yogurt with Pistachio Biscotti Bits
Congratulations to both ice cream chefs! They'll each receive a $100 gift certificate to Sur La Table, a set of Fran's Dessert Sauces, and a set of Anodized Aluminum Ice Cream Bowls.
Thank you!

Didn't Chocolate Gelato with Salted Caramel Pecans have 55 votes?
And if Creamy Espresso Crunch had 58 and Mango Lassi Frozen Yogurt with Pistachio Biscotti Bits had 57. Wouldn't the Chocolate Gelato have been 3rd instead of first?
Sorry if I'm wrong maybe I had the numbers mixed up, or maybe voting went differently than I thought.

bobcatsteph3, They probably factored in the negative votes as well.

The photo tiles are gorgeous. And totally beats Baskin Robbins any day.
Bobcatsteph - if you look at the total numbers, the winner had about 80% of the votes whereas the runners up only had 70% majority.
I can't wait to try the Mango Lassi and Coffee, all three sound awesome and look great.

There wasn't a single one of these I didn't want to try! My ice cream maker will be busy for awhile. Thank goodness Arizona summers last longer than most. ;)
