Snowy Village Cakelet Pan from Williams-Sonoma

2009-11-02-Cakelet.jpgOh boy! It's that time of year! Fun baking pans! Here's the latest Nordic Ware holiday pan for Williams-Sonoma: a little village of cakelets.

2009-11-02-Pan.jpgWe rather like this little set of cakelets. It's a nice nod to those light-up villages a lot of people like to display during the holidays. They also really don't need much decoration at all; just a dusting of powdered sugar gives that snowy look!

What do you think about these little cakelets? Are you in the mood to pull out a holiday baking pan or two?

This is really cute. Like it a lot -- and I am not the biggest novelty pan fan. I really like that it seems to take only a minimal amount of icing and piping to make it look good. I just might have to give this one a try.

I do love it especially the snow scene but I already have a ring of Christmas trees which comes out once a year and an octopus that has made it out twice---there is some variation with these pans when making recipes that aren't included in the set so that's an additional worry and I'm not big on pre-testing my holiday recipes which are often over the top. Still...I if had more space, maybe someday.

This is adorable. And makes me really, really wish I'd bought that pretty cake plate at the antiques fair yesterday.

That's adorable. It's probably a good thing my kitchen is light on storage or I'd totally have a bunch of novelty cake pans. The only problem is that the novelty wears off. They should have a rental program.
