New Pumpkin Harvest Loaf Pan from Williams-Sonoma

2008_09_10-LoafPan.jpgOK people - it's about that time. What time, you ask? Why, when all the new specialty baking pans come out for the holidays! Here's the first new one we've seen: a pumpkin pan! Click through to see what it looks like when filled, baked, and powdered...

2008_09_10-Pumpkin.jpgTa-da! Lovely! It's supposed to look like six pumpkins nestled in a crate. It's made of cast-aluminum with a nonstick finish, and hand washing is recommended. A Williams-Sonoma exclusive.

Being baking geeks we must restrain ourselves from buying this and every other single-use baking pan coming on the market this month. It's just so cute - imagine it in the center of your Thanksgiving table.

Not a fan at all. Looks goofy. Surprisingly, i like the turkey!

That just seems like it would be a cleaning nightmare if even a tiny bit of the loaf stuck to the pan.

That is hideous. I would be embarrassed for someone if I showed up for Thanksgiving dinner and that was on the table.

I thought it was cute! I guess I am in the minority here but I love all the shaped pans.

I think it's totally cute. Shaped pans are good fun and WS usually has good non-stick so they aren't awful to clean. It would be cute with a pumpkin bread for breakfast or something.

I love the pumpkin harvest loaf pan! Gonna go get it! I think it will be a nice treat this fall for me to bake spiced pecan pumpkin bread for folks and deliver it to them in this shape. Adds a touch of class!

The pan looks fantastic, the cake not as much so---I think its a texture thing--pumpkins should be smooth, the larger whole pumpkin cakes they've had in the past look better.

I think it's ridiculously cute. If only space were not an issue ... well, space AND money ;o)
