Smeg Horizontal Dishwasher for Small Kitchens

2008_01_07-SmegDishwasher.jpg

How we wanted a dishwasher in our old and tiny galley kitchen; everyday cooking and washing up weren't bad, but when we had a dinner party dishes really stacked up on our limited counter space. This Smeg dishwasher could have fit into our little kitchen much better than a traditional model. Dishwashers are usually 24 inches wide and 34 inches tall, but this one is horizontally aligned and only 21 inches tall.

Click through for more details and a picture of everything that can fit in this little dishwasher.

This dishwasher has a limited capacity, but it could be just right for urban life. We don't mind washing dishes by hand, but we love having a way to quickly clear clutter off the kitchen counters before our dinner guests arrive.

The dishwasher is available at AJ Madison for $1599.

I have to admit when I read your subject: 'Smeg' Horizontal Dishwasher I thought you were saying it was bad. ROTFLMAO too much British comedy for me...the dishwasher does look nice though, congrats.

I love it, I am so happy that my new tiny apartment has a tiny dishwasher to match. This one is so much nicer than the black one I have.

That is a really neat compact design, it would be perfect for my flat. I have a normal dishwasher at the moment but it does take up too much room, and often needs replacement whirlpool parts, I hear they are generally very reliable. I’m seriously thinking about saving up for one of these now :)
