This uniquely-shaped porcelain plate from online shop Anzu serves a special purpose. Can you guess what it is?

Serving jam! You'd also be right if you said holding tea bags, or serving small sweets. Designed by Yumiko Iihoshi, Anzu — which specializes in Japanese home goods — describe this sculptural plate as "quirky and characterful," and I quite agree.

The Tori plate comes in black, white, or light blue glazed porcelain, and measures about three by three and a half inches.

I love pieces like this that catch the eye. It'd also make a very beautiful gift.
