Green tea is more astringent and refreshing than Black tea, and is an ideal refresher when you’re on the move. It is rich in antioxidants and is a tea to drink for mental energy and contemplation.

My current favourite is Thé du Hammam, from Palais des Thes, the rival to the French luxury tea chain Mariage Freres.

Made from a blend of green tea-leaves flavored with orange blossoms, rose petals, red fruits and green dates, this traditional Turkish tea is one of the freshest lightest green teas I’ve ever had, with no bitterness, and a subtle taste of roses.
