We all know it to be true: sriracha is amazing, and everyone should have a bottle in their fridge. But as with most cool kids on the block, there comes a time when young upstarts show up and vie for people's attention. So what's the next 'it' condiment? New York Magazine has 25 possibilities:
How about Colatura Anchovy Sauce (makes "an excellent, salty, umami-packed Caesar dressing or marinade") or the 2 Jars Polish Kimchi Relish, made of pickled cabbage and mushrooms with tomatoes and prunes ("a great item to have on hand during summer barbecues"). Mazi ("a hella-spicy Portuguese hot sauce") or BLiS Bourbon Barrel Matured Pure Maple Syrup ("good on pancakes and oatmeal, but it's also great to add when roasting savory foods") may also entice home cooks.
It's a great list to peruse. Have you tried any of these? Have a favorite?
