Sound the trumpets! You made it through The Kitchn Cure, and we are so happy to see you on the other side. How are you feeling? We feel pretty jazzed that you stuck with us, and we hope your kitchen is the better for it.

Today's task is to get acquainted with our cleaning maintenance plan, a way for you to clean your kitchen a little bit every day throughout the month. You won't find any decluttering, re-organizing, or purchasing assignments in this plan — we've tried to keep it simple and manageable!

Today's Assignment (estimated time: 20 minutes)

1. Commit 20 minutes a day to a kitchen cleaning task: Now that you've deep cleaned your kitchen, the goal is to keep it that way! To do that, we're asking you to devote 20 minutes a day (probably less) to a kitchen cleaning task that, should you do it every day for a month, will help keep your kitchen looking great.

2. Follow our schedule: To make it easy, we've laid out a 30 day schedule for you, and even included downloadable PDF so you can hang the schedule on your refrigerator or somewhere else it's easily accessible. Here are your 30 tasks:

The Kitchn's 30 Day Cleaning Plan

Day 1. Wipe down the fronts of large and small appliances.
Day 2. Clean the inside and outside of the trash can.
Day 3. Tidy cookbooks, aprons and towel and linen drawers.
Day 4. Wipe down baking containers (flour, sugar, cornstarch).
Day 5. Clean out the refrigerator, wipe down shelves, and tidy the freezer. Day 6. Dust and polish the cabinet fronts and wipe down the range hood.
Day 7. Mop the floor.
Day 8. Scrub out the sink and wipe down the faucet.
Day 9. Clean the inside of utensil holders and the top of the refrigerator.
Day 10. Clean under the refrigerator and stove.
Day 11. Clean the seals on the dishwasher, refrigerator, and garbage disposal.
Day 12. Clean the windows and wipe down the sills.
Day 13. Wipe down decorative accessories and pictures.
Day 14. Mop the floor.
Day 15. Wipe down the fronts of large and small appliances.
Day 16. Tidy the pantry, canned goods, boxes and bags.
Day 17. Clean or wash cleaning tools (sponge, towels, etc).
Day 18. Wipe down interior cabinet shelves.
Day 19. Wipe down walls.
Day 20. Dust and polish the cabinet fronts and wipe down the range hood.
Day 21. Mop the floor.
Day 22. Wipe down the fronts of large and small appliances.
Day 23. Organize pots, pans, or other frequently-used items in cabinets.
Day 24. Scrub out the sink and wipe down the faucet.
Day 25. Clean out the refrigerator, wipe down shelves, and tidy the freezer.
Day 26. Clean the inside of the microwave and clean the oven if needed.
Day 27. Wipe down baseboards.
Day 28. Mop the floor.
Day 29. Wipe down the fronts of large and small appliances.
Day 30. Dust light fixtures, clean switch plates, vent covers.
