We're so happy to announce that The Kitchn Cookbook, written by founding editor Sara Kate Gillingham and executive editor Faith Durand, is nominated for a James Beard Award in the general cooking category. This is the first James Beard nomination for The Kitchn, so we couldn't be more excited about the whole thing. Let's pop some bubbly and celebrate!

The Kitchn Cookbook is in great company in the general cooking category for cookbooks – Marcus Samuelson's Marcus Off Duty and Saveur's The New Classics Cookbook – are also in the running. The winner will be announced on April 24th.
