Happy August! We can't quite believe how quickly time has flown this summer and our list of kitchen "to-do's before it's too late" is only growing longer.
It's true: summer affords us longer days that often allow for more time to cook, garden, see friends, and spend time outdoors. There are crops of berries, tomatoes and corn that help us forget about long, dreary winters as we relish in colorful, fresh meals straight from the farmers market. I find myself clipping recipes and bookmarking dishes I want to make at the beginning of the summer and soon realize that the season's not infinite and berries and stone fruit won't be around forever. So this week, I gave myself a little motivational kick: it's time to get moving on those 'must-make summer recipes' before (dare I say it) it's too late. So here are a few recipes that have been on my list since I first spotted them--recipes that will make their way onto my table very soon. What are yours?
