Martha Concrete Lam...

I make biscuits, buns or bread every time I make soup or stew, which is several times a week. Sometimes yeasted, sometimes not. It's just so comforting!
I make drop biscuits, which saves the trouble of rolling and cutting, and means that the biscuits can be done in less time than the soup! Some favorites have been olive oil rosemary biscuits...

For yeasted buns, I've liked these soft railway buns (isn't that a nice idea? Buns to take on a journey!)

I love gougeres, and I've tried many variations on the choux pastry idea that yields soft, comforting dumplings...

I won't even get started on regular yeasted bread or flatbreads!
I'm sorry, I know I've posted way too many links again, but I forgot one, and it's one of the best things I've made in a while. It's tender buttery rolled up rolls.

Long soft rolls with a cripy crust, that are fun to peel apart and eat in layers. Soooo good!
All that's missing is a good popover recipe.
It's my husband's birthday today, and since we had some leftover cream gravy, I made him biscuits this morning. I'd never made cream biscuits before, but they were fast, easy, and awesome! Nice coincidence that you posted this roundup today! I'll have to try some other new ones stat.
P.S. I used the James Beard recipe found in the Fanny Farmer Cookbook.
