Are you tired of your companion flitting off to various distractions during dinner? Appeal to their considerate side with the Courtesy Table, designed by Dutch designer Marleen Jansen. Can you guess how it works?

If one party gets up, the other one falls to the ground! It's basically a seesaw apparatus underneath the table. However, this really only works if your dining companion cares that you're falling on your behind every time they leave the table. If they're completely unfeeling, well, then you're left with plenty of bruises and not much else!
Ok, ok. So this is totally impractical. But it made me chuckle!
