The chevron has been the it pattern in home interiors for a while now... perhaps for too long, as Apartment Therapy readers are calling, "Over!". We liked this kitchen backsplash enough, however, to tread those waters and share it with you here at The Kitchn:
Created by design duo Casamidy of Mexico, the pattern is perfectly on point in this rustic modern kitchen. It looks like it's made up of diagonally-bisected square tiles in black (navy?) and white.
Trend or no, we can see this backsplash will look just right for years to come. See the context of the entire home right here. What do you think? Are we over the chevron in the kitchen, too, or is it just finding its way there?

love it. totally love it. trends shmends.
I don't care if it's over. That is gorgeous! The scale is fantastic.
I hate this. It actually hurts my eyes. I hate this so much I'm taking the time to post a comment about how much I hate it.
I think I would get tired of that pattern very quickly. I don't know about anyone else but I'm really "Over" the whole fake antique paint jobs on cabinets. That kitchen looks like someone left a can of icky brown paint and a small child together in there for way too long. I suppose having cabinets that start out looking dirty means you don't have to clean them as much.
My eyes are bleeding.
I like chevrons in some instances, but this is a bit abrasive for me. I think I would like something a little easier on the eyes in my kitchen.
Who cares if trends are over or just beginning... if you like something, just go for it!
While I'm digging this pattern, I think what I don't enjoy visually is the choice of surrounding kitchen. This would stand out and be stunning in an all white kitchen.
I'm blind!
I'm all for this chevron trend. We're about to re-do our kitchen with... you guessed it!... stone flooring in the chevron pattern. Can't wait!
