We look forward to the holiday issues of our favorite food magazines each fall. Will they go traditional? Will there be a new twist on a classic? A new spice for our brine? Every year, The Bitten Word blog does an overview of these trends and leanings, pulled from their favorite ten magazines. (And if you're looking for some last-minute Thanksgiving inspiration, they also have a round-up of all the recipes from the November issues!) What trends have you spotted this Thanksgiving season? According to Bitten Word, what’s “in” are recipes that are simple, fast, and easy. Lots of quick sautées and make-ahead dishes. Are we all really in that big of a hurry?! Pomegranates also feature big, as in a pomegranate-glazed turkey from The Food Network Magazine and a cranberry-pomegranate relish from Everyday Food. Pumpkin cakes also showed up in Fine Cooking, Saveur, Martha Stewart Living, and Food & Wine. It’s a cake conspiracy! Head over to The Bitten Word blog to get the whole scoop on this year’s trends: • Thanksgiving Trends: What the Food Magazines Are Recommending from The Bitten Word What Thanksgiving trends have you noticed?
