We've been planning our Thanksgiving dishes for weeks (OK, we'll be honest – months), and the big day is almost here. But when Thanksgiving morning rolls around, we like to spend at least a couple of hours outside of the kitchen. And we know we're not alone. Thanksgiving morning brings with it many different traditions. Some join a group run or take a walk with family, while others cozy up in front of the television to watch a parade or a favorite movie (often enhanced by delicious smells from the kitchen). Here's a roundup of favorite Thanksgiving movies
– our favorites are "Hannah and Her Sisters" and "Pieces of April."
An annual game of flag football with old friends is a popular choice, as is volunteering at a local soup kitchen.
We like to bundle up and take our dog for an extra long walk, enjoying the quiet in our usually bustling city.
How about you? How do you get ready for the big meal? Tell us in the comments.
