Yes, we took a whole piece of leftover Thanksgiving pie and tossed it in a blender. The result is, quite possibly, the easiest, most delicious incarnation of leftovers ever.
If you're lucky enough to have a few slices of extra Thanksgiving pie (or have strategically tucked a piece...or two...in the back of the fridge) these shakes are a delightfully simple way to indulge your leftover sweet cravings.
We had a few pieces of pumpkin hidden leftover, but apple, pecan or any other extra slice you have works perfectly in this recipe. The same thought goes for the ice cream flavor. Vanilla's a classic - and undeniably tasty - choice, but maple, brown sugar or even pumpkin ice creams blend beautifully with the warm, cinnamon-laced flavors of Thanksgiving pie. Blend with a touch of milk, vanilla and cinnamon and you have a fun, festive way to enjoy that pie one more time.

2 tablespoons whole milk
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

I love that this was the first post of the AM!
My 3-year-old daughter has a gastric tube and we feed her a blended diet using a Vitamix (instead of formula). We took thanksgiving leftovers and blended up turkey, sweet potato, green beans and lots of cranberry relish along with a slice of pie. Which sounds disgusting to us, but nom. Good for her!
Your pie shake is totally in tune with that.
I would be willing to TRY a leftover pie shake, but alas ...
