Q: Next week is the end of my summer internship. As a thank you, I wanted to bring something to share. There are only five of us, so I don't need a lot of food. However, one person is allergic to gluten and dairy-intolerant while another person doesn't like sweets. Anyone have ideas?

What about a variety of flavored popcorns?
If no one is allergic to nuts, Ina Garten's Rosemary Chipotle mixed nuts are always a hit.
Wow, do you work in my office? We have a gluten free person, a vegan, and a sweets hater! I liked to make roasted nuts during the holidays and present them in mason jars. They make a perfect desk drawer snack.

love the idea of roasted nuts. homemade marshmallows are always really impressive!
How about spring rolls? Rice wrappers and rice sticks, shrimp, etc., etc. And some peanut dipping sauce and you are good to go!
Guacamole, salsa, and gluten-free corn chips?
Bean or non-dairy potato salad! (potatoes have no gluten).
You also can't go wrong with a cold plate... hummus, artichoke spread, cold cuts, olives, fruit (figs, berries, oranges), veggies (zucchini, radishes, carrots), jam, nuts, hard cheese (for the dairy eaters) and gluten free crackers or bread. Nobody's left out and everyone can pick and choose what they like.
Meringues are great for the gluten-intolerant people, and maybe some olives for the sweets-hater, or some homemade flavored almonds (take whole almonds, toss then with olives oil, salt and rosemary, put on a sheet the oven for a few minutes at medium temp.
Or you can go another route, since it's summer and there's great fruit all around, go to the farmers market and bring a nice assortment of plums, apricots, figs, berries...
