I'm a big fan of Emily McDowell and her wry, clever illustrations. Her artwork goes beyond cute to comment on the way things really are. She has received much attention, and deservedly so, for her Empathy Cards, which blow other "sympathy" cards away. On a lighter note, her illustrated kitchen towels also take the everyday life of the kitchen and translate them into sentiments we can all identify with.

Let's start with the back of the fridge. Is there anything in this picture that hasn't been discovered in your fridge at some point or another?

It's true — admit it.
