We're really enjoying this new series of "Tastemaker Booklists" from Heidi Swanson over at 101 Cookbooks! She's been interviewing folks from all different walks of life about their self-described cooking style and favorite cookbooks. As if looking into their pantries weren't enough, now we get to peek at other people's bookshelves!
So far we've heard from Grace Bonney of Design*Sponge, the Breakaway Cook Eric Gower, and fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi. It's fascinating to see what books make it on each person's list. We've discovered some new ones in these posts, and we're also happy to spot so many of our old favorites...
It seems we have much in common with Grace Bonney: she also prefers cooking with ingredients that are "clean, fresh, and seasonal" and turns to The French Laundry Cookbook for cooking inspiration. Eric Gower, a cookbook author himself, takes culinary satisfaction from cookbooks like The Elements of Taste by Gray Kuntz. And who knew that fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi thinks that Fannie Farmer rocks and has also held on to the same set of Le Creuset pots since he moved out of his mother's house?
We can't wait to see who we get to hear from next!
