Every year Food & Wine collects their picks of the past year's best recipes and packages them in one lovely hardback book. Well, this year we have to toot our own horn and tell you there's an extra reason to pick up this edition: it has a few recipes from The Kitchn Cookbook inside.
The recipes they chose from The Kitchn Cookbook include one of my favorites: this homey and nourishing pasta casserole with broccoli and Gouda. If you haven't had a chance to pick up our cookbook yet, this gives you a little taste — as well as snacks from quite a few other great cookbooks from the past year.
Take these brownies, for instance, from Johnny's Iuzzini's Sugar Rush. I mean, spicy malted brownies? Sign me up! These and others are in there, including recipes from Prune, Plenty More, Baked Occasions, and so many other good books from last year. It's a nice way to dip into these books to get a sense of whether they should earn a place on your shelf.
