What challenge have you overcome in your kitchen? When we purchased our condo over four years ago, we had a dimly-lit, bland kitchen area with limited counter space and storage. As part of a full condo renovation, we replaced the cabinets, flooring, lighting, and appliances, and added a peninsula, tiled backsplash, and more lighting. (continued)

We got rid of our microwave dependence and use our range for everything. We also split the refrigeration and freezer into two to allow more space for fresh produce, and have much more counter space. And finally, we have room for cookbooks in the kitchen. We often find ourselves eating at the counter now, rather than moving over to our table!
What's the story of your kitchen?
Our home is a 1200 square foot loft space in a former light bulb/bra factory. It’s an open floor plan, so we wanted to give it more of a defined space and increase the usable kitchen area as we love to cook. We are very inspired by mid-century design and wanted a simple, timeless aesthetic, with some warmth.
What is your favorite meal to cook here?
We love to make big breakfasts on the weekend. We pull out a griddle pan and make pancakes, scrambled eggs, and veggie sausages.
