We must admit that we are clueless when it comes to football. And yet even we cannot avoid the excitement in our native state as Ohio State goes up (again) for the Bowl Championship in college football.

However you feel about college football, you have to admit that any excuse is enough to make these Buckeye candies. The totally perfect Buckeyes pictured above were made by Christophile at Dessert of the Month Club - check out the rest of that great blog, and click through here for more on these quick treats and the recipe too...

Buckeyes are one of the easiest candies to make at home. You just mix creamy peanut butter with powdered sugar and butter, roll the delicious mix into balls, and dip into melted chocolate. Chocolate peanut butter perfection. The best thing is you don't have to wait forever for them to cool; you can start a batch now and they'll be ready in time for the game!

Christophile used the recipe we offer below. As pointed out, you don't need the wax at all. We just use that when these will be sitting out for a while, or when they need to stand up to warmer temperatures.
