We recently asked for your advice for resident etiquette expert Helena, over at CHOW. She was wondering if and how you kick guests out of the kitchen so you can focus while you're cooking. Well, her own take on the topic is up now at CHOW, and she refers back to some of your thoughts. Take a look!

Thanks!
Whoops! Sorry guys; that's fixed now.
If you are that worried, wouldn't it be better to either cook something that won't require intense concentration while your guests have already arrived, or time everything so that dinner is ready within minutes of guests' arrival? The second would require stressing what time dinner will be served, but I see no problem in sending an invitation to "arrive at 7:00, dinner will be served 7:30."
I have more of a problem trying to simply clear the table and just pile dishes in the sink without guests trying to clean up for me!
