I often pop on a podcast of KCRW's Good Food or APM's The Splendid Table while tiding up the house or riding the bus. I never fail to learn something new or find inspiration from a guest or discussion. Evan Kleiman and Lynne Rosetto Kasper are true kitchen goddesses! I would be hard pressed to chose between the two. Good Food has the regional edge for us Californians but The Splendid Table can play everywhere and has Jane and Michael Stern to boot. Impossible! We asked this question several years ago, but it's worth revisiting.
I have to admit that while I'm a big fan of Molly Wizenberg and her blog Orangette, I haven't kept up on Spilled Milk, her podcast with Matthew Amster-Burton. And I've found many other food related podcasts a little too silly or boring even. Clearly, it's challenging to make talking about food (with no helpful visuals) fun and interesting!

Every time I hear these kinds of shows I think of Saturday Night Live's "Delicious Dish"! From maybe the late '90s I think? Ana Gasteyer and Molly Shannon did such a spot-on parody of NPR earnest-ness. And Alec Baldwin was on once or twice as a guest--SO FUNNY.l
Nicole Taylor (twitter @Foodculturist) has an excellent online radio show, "Hot Grease," at http://www.heritageradionetwork.com/programs/23-Hot-Grease. Her show is live every Monday at 3:30 pm.
The Sporkful is an amazing podcast-- so funny and perfect for my morning commute.
Ha! Brooklynnina you took mine...Delicious Dish!
I love Dinner Party Download, but I see it more as a culture/entertainment podcast than a food podcast. Splendid Table still wins hands down for introducing me to new ingredients, products, and techniques.
Gardenfork Radio is great!

I may be a little biased since I'm a co-host. :)
As an avid NPR listener, I vote for the Splendid Table (the show for people who love to eat!) and all parodies in the Delicious Dish. Schwete balls!
It's still a weird for me actually to see what Lynn Rosetto-Kasper looks like. If I were to guess, I'd pair her with photo #1.
i also like the sporkful
I love The Splendid Table and listen almost every Sunday, but I still have to stop and think for a second before I call it Delicious Dish! And Lynn looks just like I pictured her!
Vegetarian Food for Thought, by Compasionate Cook's Colleen Patrick Goudreau. She is an awesome host, and her pod casts keep me going through my 3 hour daily commute!
Evan and Good Food are great. I usually listen to it more than once.
The Sporkful is my favorite food podcast. Love the tag, It's Not for Foodies, It's for Eaters!
I absolutely love Good Food. I love her guests, her smart interviews, her seasonal focus. But I'm also pretty enamored with Dinner Party Download - I need a little bit of funny sometimes too!
Kleiman's Good Food is the best food show/podcast from NPR. Her guests are always fascinating, the subjects are always interesting and the conversations never fail to make me think about food, eating, cuisine and food politics in a new way. It's the best show on food in public radio.
Another vote for Good Food, and I've never even been to Southern CA! I like Splendid Table too but I think Evan really keeps it fresh. I never miss an episode. I can't wait until the day I can visit LA and use Jonathan Gold's recommendations as my compass.
