I feel like there's a potential variation to be made involving the frozen banana ice cream from a few days ago...
Agreed! Some sort of Inside Out Banana Split, perhaps...
I had the Best. Banana Split. Ever at, of all places, Gautreau's in New Orleans. The bananas were bruleed, which was genius, but what made it for me was some kind of banana cookie?/brownie? on the bottom of the sundae. Tasted like banana bread, but more the texture of a soft cookie or chewy brownie. It was scrumptious with ice cream melting into it. That was about it -- a little drizzle of chocolate, nothing dayglo. Amazing.
I have never had a banana split. I must remedy this immediately.
