Ice cream and summer go hand in hand. But we're not telling you anything you don't know. After you tire of making a fantastic vanilla or a seasonal strawberry, we've got a few decadent ideas to put on your ice cream to-do list. Why not throw chunks of your very favorite sweet bread into the ice cream maker and churn away? Brown bread ice cream is a bit more common and beloved amongst many food bloggers and food magazines, but we came across a recipe for banana bread ice cream recently and started to think about the endless possibilities: zucchini bread ice cream or monkey bread ice cream? Lemon poppyseed or pumpkin bread ice cream? Feeling rested after the long holiday weekend, we're ready to dive right in.
