Watermelons seem to be everywhere these days and while there's certainly nothing wrong with eating the quintessential summer fruit slice by slice until it disappears, a slushy cocktail is a darn fine way to cool off in the dogs days of summer. Watermelon cocktails are nice because you don't generally need to add much sugar. The melon is naturally so sweet and has a texture that lends itself perfectly to a slushy drink that will beckon you out onto the deck, porch, grass, stoop or neighborhood park.
