OMG! Love it!
The instructions in that recipe don't match up with the ingredients though.. wax?
Sweet! I wish this had been around when I was making homemade beauty stuff for my family for Christmas. I gave them all recipes for the things I made, and spent HOURS trying to custom-build my own cards.
d4kk1tt3n, some recipes for Cake Pops call for edible wax in case you are worried about the coating melting before they are eaten.
d4kk1tt3n - I shortened the instructions to fit the card.... and forgot the part about the wax, sorry about that! You can find the full recipe in our archives.
Making the instructions fit the card is my one dislike of this recipe card maker. Many recipe cards with the pretty templates don't match the space required by my recipes. I vote in favor of just printing recipes on blank 4x6 cards.
But I agree that some organizational blending needs to happen for all my recipes. I find myself doing mental gymnastics in order to remember which era I found my favorite recipe - was it entered on the computer or does it still sit on an 3x5 hand-written card in my old box or did I print it on a 8x10. Too many places to search too many recipes. I have put such a task on my Christmas wish list, but Santa hasn't given it to me yet. Maybe when I am snowbound this winter.....
this is lovely to give someone- like when you make the pre measured jars of ready to bake cookies? fun!
I really like this idea, but for me it's just easier to print my recipes straight off the web, put them in page protectors, and file them in a 3-ring binder with dividers for each recipe type. It's not as pretty, but it's simpler, and quite organized. I don't feel at all that my recipes are a jumbled mess. :)
Womancake,
I do the same thing! So much easy to use and read. However, this program is a cute option for gifting recipes and is a really nice option for those without PhotoShop skills.
Yes, very cute, but would probably only use for gifting.
Still trying to figure out how best to organize my recipes on the computer-- Evernote or a stand-alone software...? Maybe it's time for a new post on the topic?
I agree--this would be perfect for gifting!
