It's rainy and cool outside in New York City this morning. It feels like an oatmeal-for-breakfast, soup-for-lunch sort of day...
It's also Friday, and if you've had a long week, soup's an easy dish to fall back on. And using some of the spring vegetables you're finding at the farmers' markets or in your CSA box brings soup into the season.
Feeling like a warm bowl of something that doesn't taste heavy? Try some of these spring-inspired soups from our recipe archives:
- Nettle Soup
- Borscht
- Spring Leek and Lemon Soup
- Mushroom Soup
- Zucchini Garlic Soup
- Recipe Recommendation: Celery Root Bisque

I made your Zucchini Garlic Soup this week since zucchinis have started popping up at the Farmer's Market. This is probably one of my favorite dishes and I look forward to eating it all summer long, it's great chilled/room temp.
