It has been a weird winter (or lack thereof) in many parts of the country. Spring is almost here — early, it seems! — and so we already have plans for this entertaining station that could start a party even in a small space!
Although this item doesn't come with a tutorial to make your own (and was once for sale here), it would be an easy project to reconstruct. A single board, pre-cut by the handy folks at your big box hardware store. Add a piece of chain and some eye hooks to hold it in place and you're all set.
It's a great reminder that you don't have to have a giant outdoor table or patio set up to entertain. Low knee height tables aren't ideal for pouring drinks, so we love this fold down option that keeps things at a friendly height and fold up out of the way when not in use.

I have a fairly large balcony but like to keep it open and flexible, this would be great for not just entertaining but an extra place to set stuff when you are grilling, potting plants, or just relaxing out there on your own!
I love this. I've just decided to build one next to my barbecue.
Cute! In college I had a drop-down enameled metal table from IKEA that just hooked right over my balcony railing.
Apparently they don't make them any more, but here's an IKEA alternative: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/30062572/
I would love this in my bedroom! What are the possibilities of getting a tutorial?
