We use our spatula every single day. We feel as though it's one of the most versatile cooking utensils, and we couldn't imagine cooking without one. There are many different shapes and sizes on the market right now, and we all have our favorites. Here's a look at a few spatulas we've loved, here at The Kitchn.
We're no stranger to the spatula on The Kitchn, so we've compiled our favorite spatula themed posts:

Someone needs to put an end to the right handed elitism of kitchen tools! lol kidding, of course but as a leftie, I do wish fish spatulas and angled tools were more readily available in leftie varieties.
Coffee mugs and fancy oven mitts (the kind with prints or pictures if they are the typical mitt shape) too, while I'm on it!
I have a collection of white silicone spatula's (diffferent shapes and sizes) from various sources, some were bought from London, UK, Vancouver and the rest from Dallas, TX. I fully intend to collect some more. And yes, they have to be white. I have had my eye on the Le Creuset set of spatula's available from Amazon.com but that price is a killer (60-80 USD). Even though I have a loose hand on my purse I cannot justify such a price on tools which are physically flimsy and no better than lower priced alternatives . So instead my collections spans across finds in supermarkets, home stores, Wal-Mart, Williams-Sonoma, BedBath&Beyond, Homegoods ((I miss you, none in Vancouver :( )) and beyond...
There's something about having a spatula for all your kitchen needs...
Oh and I should add that I am building my collection of regular spatula's from the OXO range... Next one is the OXO fish spatula... It's super thin and flexible. Can't wait... They have to be nylon or Metal, silicone just doesnt cut it as a proper cooking spatula (to sticky and thick to pick up that fried piece of fish nicely).
We have the pumpkin-shaped Le Creuset pictured above, as a novelty gift from my mother-on-law. At first, I didn't even know if we would use it -- it looks so silly when it's not October/November -- but one heavy cooking day, we took it out and used it. The enlarged and slightly concave surface of the spatula makes it a little bowl-like. Long story short, it's actually a fantastic shape for scraping AND scooping.
My favorite spatula for baking is the one on the right here:

The steep hooked angle works like a dream to scrape down a KitchenAid work bowl. It has a rigid center and very floppy sides, so it curves around any surface easily but won't give under pressure.
It cracked after a long and tough tour of duty, and I had to throw it out. That was a sad day in our house, as I haven't found it in a brick-and-mortar store or Amazon, and it feels silly to buy something so small and end up paying double because of the shipping.
