Do you like your wine chilled? White wine is a no-brainer, but I enjoy a slightly chilled glass of red as well. When the weather is hot and there's no time to pop a bottle in the refrigerator long enough to cool it down, what do you do? The folks over at The Improvised Life have the perfect solution!
Next time you're faced with a hot glass of red wine on a warm summer night, try throwing in a few frozen grapes. The chilled fruit won't dilute the wine or release much flavor. Perfect for these last days of summer!

Brilliant! I was looking into getting some of those 'whiskey rocks' to keep my whites chilled without diluting, but they'd certainly work for reds, as well.
Great idea, in my absence of a dedicated wine fridge, I will def be trying this one!
Guides constantly trot out the old line that reds should be served at room temperature, disregarding that the 'room temperatures' in sunny Sydney (where I am) or the warmer parts of California are usually quite a few degrees higher than 'room temperature' in grey old Europe...
Drinking a nice red on a 32°C/90°F day is not the optimum experience!
Slightly pessimistic here, but if I can't remember to chill the wine, what makes you think I'll remember to freeze grapes?
Maybe you can just keep a bag of grapes in your freezer all of the time. Takes up a lot less space than a couple of bottles of wine in the fridge all of the time (especially since you'd probably want your red just slightly chilled).
