Small Space Living: Portable Stove Necklace

College students, here's one way to get around the restrictions on hot plates and toaster ovens in your dorm rooms: get yourself a stove necklace! You've got to see this to believe it.

This tiny stove is made of brass and copper with its very own fuel tank. It burns alcohol, creating a very hot flame. It's hard to tell what exactly we'd be able to cook on such a small burner! At the very least, we could heat up a cup of water. We'd love to see an accompanying tiny skillet for cooking single eggs!

This necklace first caught our eye when it was featured on the Craftzine blog and the necklace itself was being sold on Smashing Darling. It looks like the necklace itself is now unfortunately out of stock, but there's contact info for the designer if you want to request a custom piece. Or you can try your own hand at making a tiny, portable stove!

Actually usable? Mmmm...Debatable. Awesome idea? Most definitely! What do you think of this miniature, portable stove?

Marshmallow toasting! Or crack. Not sure which...

this probably comes from years of living in east coast cities like Baltimore but it looks to me like something you'd associate with crack. Sorry for the blatant honesty on this one but it does!!

This is for people who backpack, the smaller it is the lighter and when you pack weight starts adding up this is a great idea. I saw this on a couple of websites and everyone was really enthused, here people are talking about crack, nice.

that looks dangerous--> one isn't supposed to keep pressured gas inside homes; they could explode.

is it even safe to burn it inside? I think it would be a MAJOR hazard.

I could see it really handy on a camping trip to heat up a can of something or boil some water.

I'm going to have to go with crack too. I see how it could be handy while hiking. But I would not wear that in public.

This would be more suitable for cooking heroin than for smoking crack. Just saying.

I'll bet there are some accessories out there that go along with this. Like a foldable stand and small pan. Probably the perfect thing for boiling a (metal) cup of water for tea.

Nice heroin torch. This reminds me of the coke spoon charms people used to wear.

For $330, you could get a real stove.

Looks like something I could have used as a teenager for doing hot knives! And honestly if you ask me, that is the intent of it.

Yeah all you need is a spoon and some heroin and you're in business! No tiny fry pan needed since you don't get hungry when you're loaded.

Hah, heroin definitely seems to be this thing's most effective use.

These are so cool! I could've used one of these when I was in the military! I spent most of my time in the field (mostly in the snow) it would have been great for warming up MRE's or real food! :)
