There is no denying the allure of a long, wooden dining table, but I feel the need to speak up on behalf of the humble cafe table: this two-seater (sometimes four, if you really squeeze in) might not be fit for large dinner parties, but it's perfect for a quiet breakfast, an afternoon cup of tea, or simply a place to rest, eat, and enjoy yourself after a long day of cooking.

I love #8!
We replaced our full sized dining table with a cafe table late last year, and have never looked back. Yes, it's a squeeze to get four people in (not to mention that we only have two regular chairs and one folding chair), but it's so worth it to have a nice little table in the dining room where I can sit down with my lunch or afternoon tea, or read a cookbook. It's perfect.
I luved the setting of the last pic, green colour looks serene :)
