While roasting marshmallows over an open fire is a requisite summer activity, sometimes a craving for s'mores hits and you just have to have them now — without all the hassle of building a campfire.

Luckily you can make s'mores cheesecake — essentially a chocolate-studded cheesecake topped with s'mores. It doesn't get much better than that.

You start with a base layer of buttery graham cracker crust, then pour in the cheesecake batter — which gets an extra dose of chocolate from some semi-sweet chocolate chips. Once the cheesecake has baked and cooled, you top with more chocolate and mini marshmallows and place everything under the broiler until the marshmallows are toasted to golden-brown perfection.

The next time you're craving s'mores, but there's no campfire in sight, make this cheesecake. You won't be sorry.
