Sibylle Roessler of the design blog Funkytime is not afraid of a little DIY. The kitchen in her former 680-square-foot Montreal apartment (she now lives in Spain) is a lesson in repurposing flea-market finds, which she calls "terribly charming."

Details to look out for: a chalkboard paint fridge, a vintage meat grinder turned flower pot, a vintage pulley chandelier, and—my favorite—a twig wall holder for the rolling pin!
