Looking for a creative way to wrap your homemade gifts? San Francisco-based Studiopatró makes hand-printed tea towels, market bags, and aprons that are pretty enough to give on their own or tied around a box of cookies.
Christina Weber runs the design collective, and she describes the "people behind the cloth" as "friends and collaborators who cut, print, sew, photograph, and generally lend a hand."
These really feel like humble kitchen cloths that have been attended to as if they were canvases — palettes are balanced, simple, and cohesive. Christine says the designs stem from her "fascination with leaves, pattern, words and color." The single-minded focus on utilitarian textiles that are small enough to be hand-printed means that every piece is crafted with care.
Because these are hand-printed, prices aren't cheap. Tea towels start at $22, aprons at $48, and market bags at $92 for 2. You can buy them online through studiopatro.com.

I love Studiopatro products and just got a number of tea-towels for holiday presents from DesignStory (designstory.com). They are having a sale on her towels right now.
@apa alskling - thank you for the heads-up about design story. I had not heard of them before and I totally love her work. A few glitches on the designstory site, but still - thanks again!!
