It's an exciting time for independent food artisans in Chicago, with lots of interest and support surrounding their unique products. One store that has long supported these entrepreneurs is Provenance Food and Wine. It's our favorite place to shop for the newest and tastiest products in Chicago.
Provenance has locations in Logan Square and Lincoln Square (photos are of the Lincoln Square store), and both shops offer regular tasting events of wine and various other products. We've been known to stop by after work and end up spending quite a bit of time there!
In addition to lots of locally made products, Provenance offers a selection of imported gourmet goods. We can't stop by without browsing the cheese case, or stocking up on our favorite Peppadews. To complement the cheeses, owner Tracy Kellner stocks a wide variety of spreads, preserves, pickles, breads and crackers.
The wine table is always filled with a well-curated selection of bottles under $15. A few craft beers are also available. So, pretty much everything you need for a fun-filled evening!
