Bread-n-Brie: Eco-friendly Food Delivery in NYC

Online grocery service Bread-n-Brie opened last week, billing themselves as "the first eco-friendly approach to deliveries in Manhattan."

Green grocery shoppers frustrated by all the packaging Fresh Direct uses will be glad to hear that "packaging is neat and conservative – no needless wraps or layers, only enough to keep food fresh and safe," according to a press release reported on Racked.

Bread-n-Brie offers two delivery options to limited parts of Manhattan: home delivery by bicycle to residents of the Upper East Side and West Village, or free pick up at a few local retailers.

We're inspired by their environmentally conscious approach and their "un-delivery fee" (if they don't show up on time with your order, they'll credit you with 50% off your order), but found the website difficult to use.

Bread-n-Brie is offering 20% to first-time customers. If you try it, let us know how it goes.
