I just restocked my supply of these scouring pads, and it occurred to me to give them a shout-out. These are humble little cleaning tools, but they're so useful. They're tough enough to clean stubborn stuck-on spots, unlike other plastic or foam sponges -- but they aren't as harsh as stainless steel. They really get the job done in the kitchen, especially when you'd rather rely more on elbow grease than on toxic chemicals.

This is the ONLY things that we use to clean our cast iron skillets and dutch ovens!! They do a better job than anything - with only hot water, of course (never use soap on your cast iron!)
They are also great for any other cleaning task - but I HIGHLY recommend them for your cast iron!
And...they are not expensive and last a long time. When one gets dirty - I just wash it along with my kitchen towels and it keeps on cleaning!
I've used these for years -- great for non-stick surfaces, too.
These are my favorite sponges as well. The only ones I will ever use!
I had a really fun interaction with a stock boy at store when i asked him to help me find a dobie...he thought i meant something else haha
My mom used Dobies to wash dishes, and now that's what I use. I even took a package with me during my last vacation to Mexico! They are so much better than sponges or cloths. They last forever and are so easy to clean. I just pop mine in the microwave for a couple of minutes. When they get old, I retire them to floor duty. They're great for getting my terrazzo floors clean without scratching them. I am a faithful Dobie user!
Me too, they are great for everything. Scour flour off the counters easily and wash really well. Love them for all my surfaces. Safe.
Including my ceramic stove top between heavy cleanings.
Cheers

My great grandmother used these, which led to my grandmother and then my mom. In college, we switched to some other type of sponge, which always left me disappointed. I switched back to these. Then I moved all the way across the country, met my great uncle and observed that HE uses them too! My great grandmother knew what was up!
LOVE these! the only sponges we use -- grew up using these and i converted my fiance too. :) my mom gave my brother a pack as a "stocking stuffer" type gift for xmas this year as he just moved into his own place and my fiance was jealous lol!
me, too!! they are the best!!
