A couple years ago when we were in Switzerland we were the guests of my husband's hospitable colleagues. Every night at dinner I noticed that they poured the wine using a little slip of foil that curled into the neck of the bottle, preventing drips and aiming the wine just right. It was a precise, neat way to pour wine, and since then I've noticed these little pourers in other homes and restaurants. Given how spattered my table is, especially by the end of a winey dinner, I could use a set of these.
