I used to think "egg slicers" and "mushroom slicers" were the worst kind of unitaskers. Well, I was wrong. So there. A strawberry/egg/mushroom slicer like this versatile version from Sur La Table (it has three different slicing plates) can cut a lot of different kinds of foods in neat, even slices. Which is more than I can say for myself, when slicing my 124th berry for strawberry shortcake. Why not call in the pros?
