Where do you find these farmers' markets with cheap produce? I do most of my shopping there this time of year, but I don't delude myself into thinking it's a bargain. At best it's still 2-3 times more expensive than the grocery store.
I agree with ENGINEERGIRL about prices. Although I would love to support the local growers, I can't afford the farmers market prices in my area so I buy organic at the supermarket.
One of the easiest ways to get inexpensive priced at Farmer's Markets is to go within the last hour before they close. They'll be looking to make deals or bargain, you just have to ask instead of assuming the signed or marked price is law!
